About Us

Here at St Vincents Retirement Home, we offer residential care for older people in the heart of Ryde on the Isle of Wight. We are proud to have received a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our team puts in every single day to make sure the people living with us feel safe, comfortable and truly at home.

We support older adults with a range of needs, whether they are looking for a permanent home where they can settle in and build a real sense of community, or a shorter respite stay to allow them or their loved ones some time to rest and recover. Whatever brings someone to us, we take the time to get to know them properly, understanding their routines, preferences and the things that matter most to them.

Life here is shaped around the individual. We believe that moving into a care home should not mean giving up the things you enjoy or the way you like to live. Our team works closely with residents and their families to make sure that care plans reflect real lives, not just clinical needs. Meals, activities, quiet time, social moments, all of it is approached with the same thoughtfulness.

Being based in Ryde means we are well connected to the local community, and we value that connection. Families are always welcome, and we encourage people to stay involved in the life of their loved one as much as they wish.

If you are considering care for yourself or for a family member and would like to find out more about what we offer, we would be very happy to have a conversation or arrange a visit so you can see things for yourself. We think that is always the best place to start.
