About Us

Here at Quarry Oaks Care Home in Ryde, we provide residential care for adults who need support with their day to day lives, including those living with mental health conditions and those working through recovery from alcohol or drug misuse. We also offer respite care for people who need a short break from their usual arrangements, or whose families and carers need a little breathing space.

We are proud to be based on the Isle of Wight, and we think the community here genuinely shapes the way we work. Ryde is a place where people know their neighbours, and we try to carry that same spirit into everything we do at Quarry Oaks. Our residents are not a list of care needs to be managed. They are individuals with histories, preferences and things that matter to them, and we do our best to reflect that in the care we provide each day.

Mental health sits at the heart of much of what we do. We understand that this area of care requires patience, consistency and a real willingness to listen. The same applies to supporting those in recovery from alcohol or drug misuse. These are not straightforward journeys, and we do not treat them as such. We walk alongside people through the difficult periods and celebrate the progress with them too.

Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of good, which we are genuinely pleased about. It reflects the effort our whole team puts in and gives families reassurance when they are choosing a care home for someone they love.

If you are considering Quarry Oaks for yourself or for a family member, we would encourage you to get in touch and come and see us. We are always happy to have a conversation.
