About Us
Here at Clarendon Lodge, we provide residential care for older people in the heart of Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. We are a care home that genuinely feels like a home, and that matters deeply to everyone who lives and works here.
We support people with a range of needs, including dementia care, residential care, physical disability, and visual and hearing impairment. We also offer respite care for those who need a shorter stay, whether that is to recover after a period in hospital or to give family carers some time to rest. Whatever brings someone through our doors, we aim to make sure they feel welcomed, comfortable, and well looked after from the very first day.
Our approach is straightforward. We take the time to get to know each person, understanding their routines, their preferences, and what makes them feel at ease. For those living with dementia, this is especially important, and we work hard to create a calm, familiar environment where people can feel settled and secure.
We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in a rating of Good, which reflects the consistent effort our team puts in every single day. That rating means a great deal to us, but what matters even more is the feedback we receive from residents and their families.
Families are always welcome at Clarendon Lodge. We believe that staying connected to the people you love is a vital part of wellbeing, and we actively encourage visits and involvement in day to day life here.
If you would like to find out whether Clarendon Lodge could be the right place for you or someone you care about, we would be very happy to have a conversation or arrange a visit to come and see us for yourself.
