About Priory Supporting Care
Priory Supporting Care is a residential care home in Romford. We support older people and younger adults, including those living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people whose sight or hearing is impaired, and we take respite guests as well as permanent residents. Our aim is a home that runs around the people in it. Rooms are personal, the day is not dictated by a timetable, and visitors are welcome at sensible hours without an appointment. People choose when to get up, what to eat and how much company they want, and our staff are there to help rather than to organise everybody into the same pattern. Support covers washing, dressing, medication, meals and moving about, together with the practical adjustments that make life workable when sight or hearing has changed. For people living with dementia we keep things familiar and take our time, and we ask families to tell us about a person's life because that is usually what helps us understand what somebody needs in the moment. We also support younger adults, and we are careful that a home shaped around older people does not become an awkward fit for somebody several decades younger. Individual planning is what makes that work. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and look round, meet the team and speak to relatives of people who already live here before deciding anything.
