About Us
We are Carlton House Residential Care Home in Pinner. We provide residential care for older people, including those living with dementia, and we also support younger adults whose needs suit a residential setting. Respite stays are available too.
We think a care home should feel domestic. People bring their own furniture and pictures, keep their own habits, get up and go to bed when it suits them and decide how much they want to join in with what is going on. Some days that means the lounge and plenty of company. Other days it means a quiet room and a book, and that is an equally reasonable way to spend an afternoon.
For people living with dementia, we work with the person as they are now. That means knowing their history and their preferences, recognising early what tends to unsettle them, and having the patience to move at their pace rather than the timetable's.
Families are welcome here at any reasonable hour. We keep relatives informed about health and mood rather than waiting to be asked, and if something has gone wrong we say so and explain what we have changed.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. The best way to judge any home is to walk into it, so please ring us and come and see what an ordinary day here looks like.
