About Manor Lodge

Manor Lodge is a residential care home in Harrow. We look after older people who need help with daily life but not nursing care, including a good number living with dementia, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. What we offer is help with the ordinary day, given properly and without rush. Getting washed and dressed in a way that leaves somebody feeling like themselves. Medicines on time. Meals that are hot, recognisable and worth eating. Help to move about the building safely. Company for people who had been sitting alone for most of the week before they came to us. For residents with dementia the work is mostly about consistency. The same staff, the same rhythms, a bedroom that looks like the person's own room, and a willingness to go at their pace rather than ours. We ask families for the detail that no assessment ever captures, and then we actually use it. We would rather relatives were in the building often than confined to set visiting hours, and we would rather be told promptly when we have got something wrong, because small problems are much cheaper to fix early. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us or simply call in, and we will show you round.
