About Nationwide Supporting Accommodation
We are Nationwide Supporting Accommodation, a residential care home in the London borough of Haringey. We provide a settled place to live for adults who need support around them, including older people, younger adults, and people living with mental health conditions. We also offer respite stays for people who need somewhere safe for a short period. Our approach is straightforward. A home should feel like a home, not an institution, so we keep the atmosphere relaxed, we knock before we come in, and we treat everyone here as an adult with their own opinions about how they want to live. People choose how they spend their time, who they see, and how involved they want to be in what goes on around the house. Supporting mental health well is mostly about steadiness. We keep to arrangements we have made, we notice when someone seems different from usual, and we make it easy to talk to us without a formal appointment. Where people are working with community mental health teams or other professionals, we join up with them properly rather than working in parallel. Being in Haringey means shops, transport, parks and services are all within reach, and we encourage people to stay connected with the neighbourhood, with work or study, and with the people who matter to them. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. In the meantime we would rather you judged us in person, so please arrange to visit, look around, and ask us whatever you need to know.
