About Us
Woodlands Care Home is a residential care home in Waterlooville, Hampshire. We look after older people who need daily care and a place where they can settle, including many people living with dementia and people living with mental health conditions.
The house runs at a human pace. People get up and go to bed when they want to, eat food they recognise and enjoy, and spend their days in whatever way suits them. For someone living with dementia, that steadiness is the care, as much as anything clinical we do. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour, and we would much rather relatives felt able to drop in than had to book a visit.
We also offer respite stays, whether that is to give a family carer a proper rest or to support someone through a period of recovery before they go back home.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement, and we are not going to skirt round that. We know where we fell short of the standard we want for the people living here, and we are working through those areas with our team rather than waiting for the next inspection to tell us again. If you are considering us for someone in your family, ask us about it directly. We will give you a straight answer and show you what has changed.
You are welcome to visit and see the home as it is on an ordinary day.
