About Weybourne

We are Weybourne, a residential care home in Greenwich. We care for older people and younger adults, and many of those living with us are living with dementia. We aim to feel like somewhere people live rather than somewhere they have been put. People bring their own things, arrange their rooms as they like, come down when they wake rather than when a schedule says so, and spend the day in company or on their own as they prefer. There is no obligation to join in with anything. Dementia care takes patience and it takes knowing the individual, so we spend time learning about the work somebody did, the family they raised, the music they grew up with and the routines that steady them. We do not correct people about where they are or what year it is. We meet them where they are and find something worth doing together. The staff here know residents well enough to see when somebody is quieter than usual or eating less, and those early signs are what stop small problems becoming serious. We keep families properly informed and would rather ring early than explain later. Visitors are welcome whenever they want to come. We work with GPs, district nurses and social workers, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.
