About Bloomfield Rd

We are Bloomfield Rd, a residential care home in Greenwich, and we support adults living with mental health needs, including younger adults who are building independence for the first time. Our approach is straightforward. We get to know the person before we make any plans, we ask what a good day actually looks like for them, and we shape the support around that answer rather than expecting anyone to fit a routine that happens to suit us. Life here is meant to feel like home rather than a placement. People keep their own belongings and their own habits, they come and go as they choose where it is safe to do so, and they have a real say in meals, activities and the way their support is given. Our team works closely with community mental health colleagues, GPs and families so that everything stays joined up, and we keep a careful eye out for the early signs that someone may be struggling so we can respond before a small difficulty turns into a crisis. We also offer respite stays, which give regular carers a proper break and give the person staying with us a change of scene and some company. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall, and we treat that as a starting point rather than something to rest on. If you would like to look round, meet the team and ask us anything at all, please get in touch and we will arrange a visit at a time that works for you.
