About Eastbrook House

Eastbrook House is a residential care home in London, in the borough of Enfield, for older people who need care, company and a settled place to live. We are a house rather than an institution, and we would like the people here to feel that it is theirs. Our care is residential rather than nursing. We help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, mobility and company, and we call in community health professionals whenever something more clinical is needed. Just as important are the things that are harder to write into a care plan: conversation, being listened to, and somebody noticing when a resident seems quieter or less well than usual. We keep an eye on how people are eating and sleeping, because those are often the first signs that something needs attention. Respite stays are available as well. They give family carers a proper break, and they let somebody find out how the home feels before any permanent decision is taken. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would far rather you formed your own view than relied on ours, so please visit during an ordinary day, talk to the people who live here and ask us whatever you need to know.
