About Us

Ashington Gardens is a residential care home in Peacehaven supporting younger adults, including people who have a learning disability and people who are autistic.

It is somebody's home before it is anything else, and we work to keep that order of priority clear. People have their own rooms arranged as they want them, they have a say in how the house runs and support sits underneath ordinary life rather than replacing it. What we provide ranges from help with personal care and medication to practical assistance with cooking, budgeting and appointments, to simply having reliable people nearby while somebody gets on with college, work or seeing friends.

We want to be open about where we stand. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are working through the points raised, with attention to record keeping, staff supervision and the consistency of support planning, and we would rather set that out ourselves and answer your questions than have you find it elsewhere.

Respite stays are available alongside permanent places.

Families across East Sussex are welcome to visit and ask us anything.
