About Us

Quality Reliable Care is a residential home near Heathfield in East Sussex, supporting older people who need help with daily living rather than nursing care. We support residents with a physical disability and offer respite stays alongside permanent places.

Our aim is that people keep as much of their own life as possible when they come here. Their own routines, their own belongings, their own preferences about food and company and how the day should go, and support to carry on doing whatever they can still manage themselves. Taking over is quicker and it is rarely the right answer.

For residents with a physical disability, much comes down to getting the practical arrangements exactly right and then keeping out of the way. The right equipment used properly. Moving and handling done the way that particular person prefers, because they usually know better than anyone what works for them. Enough time allowed that nothing has to be hurried.

Respite guests become part of the household from the day they arrive rather than visitors passing through. For many people a short stay is their first experience of a care home, and it should be reassuring.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good.

You are welcome to come and look round, meet the people who live here, and ask whatever you would like to ask.
