About Us
We are a residential home in Hastings supporting adults with a range of needs. The people who live here include younger adults, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with loss of sight or hearing.
The house is run as a household rather than a service. Everyone has their own room and their own belongings, and the week is worked out between the people who live here and the staff supporting them. For adults who have often had decisions taken on their behalf, that ordinary degree of control is central to what we are trying to do.
Support is arranged around the individual rather than around a category. For some the priority is staying well and having staff nearby who know them well enough to notice when things are becoming difficult. For others it is about doing more: work, college, volunteering, managing money with a hand from us, or getting out regularly and keeping up with family. Where consistency matters, as it often does for autistic people, we keep staffing as settled as we can and explain changes before they happen.
Respite stays are available alongside longer places.
Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are looking for a place, please come and visit and meet the people who live here.
