About Us
Cornerstone At The Park is a residential care home in Hornsea, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We support older adults and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people with mental health needs, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased with it and we treat it as something that has to be earned again every week rather than as a settled fact.
What sits behind it is not complicated. This is where people live, so it runs to suit them. Everyone keeps their own belongings, gets up and turns in at the hours that suit them, has a real say in the food and the day, and sees visitors whenever it works for everybody. Help with washing, dressing, medication and appointments is offered rather than imposed, and stops where it is no longer wanted.
For people living with dementia we protect a calm setting and a dependable rhythm, and we gather a person's history from their family early so that staff can make sense of them on a hard day. For people with mental health needs, steadiness matters more than anything, and difficult stretches are met with consistency rather than upheaval.
Please arrange a visit and come and see the home for yourself.
