About Us
Rosewood Lodge Residential Home is a care home in Hessle, supporting older people from across the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull. We provide permanent residential places and planned respite stays, and we care for residents living with dementia.
We are not a large home and we would not want to be. What we aim for is a household where people know one another, where staff have time to sit and talk, and where the day is shaped by the people living in it rather than by a timetable on a wall.
Our support covers personal care, medication, meals, mobility and the steady companionship that matters most to people who have found living alone lonely or worrying. Residents decide how much company they want, and preferences about food, bedtimes and privacy are treated as decisions rather than requests.
Dementia care here starts with life history. Knowing a resident's working life, their family and what has always settled them tells us more about supporting them than any general guidance, and when someone is unsettled we look for the specific cause behind it.
Respite stays give family carers genuine rest and give guests a proper welcome into the life of the house.
The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection.
You are welcome to visit, stay for a cup of tea and see us on an ordinary day.
