About Us
Here at The Conifers, we are a care home based in Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire, and we are proud to provide a warm, welcoming environment where the people in our care feel genuinely at home.
We specialise in residential care, support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, and respite care. This means we work with a wide range of people, each with their own needs, preferences and personalities, and we take the time to understand what matters most to each individual. No two people are the same, and we do not treat them as though they are.
Our team in Bridlington works closely with residents and their families to make sure that support plans are meaningful and personal. We believe that good care is built on honest relationships and consistent, attentive support. We aim to give people as much choice and independence as possible in their day to day lives, whether that means how they spend their time, what they eat, or how their routine is shaped.
For those who come to us for respite care, we understand that this can feel like a big step for both the individual and their family. We do everything we can to make short stays feel comfortable and familiar from the very first day.
We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of good, which reflects the effort and commitment our whole team brings to their work each day.
If you are considering The Conifers for yourself or someone you care about, we would welcome the chance to have a conversation. Please do get in touch or come and visit us in Bridlington. We are always happy to show people around and answer any questions you may have.

Can Mum or Dad stay here if their dementia gets worse?
No. The Conifers is not listed for dementia care on the CQC register. If dementia is likely, choose a home that is, so a second move is not needed later. Source: CQC register

Ask the home. End of life care is not listed on the register. Ask the manager whether residents can remain in the home with hospice or district nurse support.

Ask the home. The home has not told us its pet policy yet. Ask directly; some homes allow small pets in residents' rooms or welcome visiting dogs.
Can a couple stay together?
Ask the home. We do not know whether the home has rooms for couples. Ask about shared or adjoining rooms if this matters.
Will the council help pay, or is it self funded only?
Ask the home. The home has not told us which funding it accepts. Most homes take both council funded and self funded residents; ask about council rates and any top up. Use our funding calculator to check what you might pay.
Do they take younger adults as well as older people?
Ask the home. The register does not say which age groups the home supports. Ask the home.
Can I visit before deciding, and are there visiting hours?
Ask the home. Every home should welcome a visit. Call to arrange one, ideally at a mealtime or during an activity, and ask about visiting hours for family.
