About Pinehurst Residential Home
We are a residential care home in Dawlish, offering a settled place to live for older people and for younger adults who need daily support. Some of the people we care for live with mental health conditions, and we have found that what helps most is steadiness: familiar faces, a predictable rhythm to the week and staff who notice when someone is not themselves. Our aim is for the house to feel like a home rather than a unit. Residents keep their own routines where they can, bring belongings that matter to them and decide how involved they want to be in whatever is going on. Meals are cooked here and we take requests seriously, since food is one of the simple pleasures that should not be lost on moving into care. Dawlish is a good place to grow older and we make use of it. Walks, trips out and time near the sea are part of ordinary life here when the weather allows, and families are welcome to join in. We also take people for respite, whether that is to give a relative who provides care a planned rest or to offer support for a few weeks after an illness. The Care Quality Commission rated us good overall at our most recent inspection. If you would like to look round, please get in touch. We are happy to talk honestly about whether we can meet someone's needs before anything is decided.
