About Magnolia House Care Home

We are Magnolia House Care Home in Axminster, Devon. We provide residential care for older people, including people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment, and we also take respite bookings for shorter stays. We keep things deliberately homely. People arrive with their own furniture, pictures and habits, and those come first. What time you like to wake, where you want your meals, whether you feel sociable today or would rather sit quietly: those decisions stay with you. A good deal of what makes life here pleasant is quite ordinary, and we would rather describe it plainly than dress it up. Where somebody has a physical disability or a sight or hearing impairment, we pay proper attention to access, equipment and communication, so those needs are met without fuss and do not end up shaping the whole of their day. We also think a home should stay part of its own town. Axminster is on the doorstep, and we support people to keep up the connections they already have, whether family nearby, a church, a club or simply the shops. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visitors are welcome at any reasonable hour. Please ring us if you would like to look round.
