About Linnet Mews

Linnet Mews is a residential care home in Chesterfield supporting adults living with mental health conditions, adults with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. This is somewhere people live rather than somewhere they have been placed. What helps most here is a settled environment, a structure to the week that can be relied upon, and staff who know somebody well enough to notice when things are shifting, often before the person feels able to say so. Support can include help with medication, personal care, moving about safely, managing a household, budgeting, getting to appointments and taking part in ordinary life beyond these walls. We adapt how we communicate for people with a visual or hearing impairment, and we help people move about without taking over from them. Most of the people we support are younger adults. Respite stays are available too, which can give a family carer a real break or provide a settled place to be during a difficult period. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. Please visit, meet the people living here and ask us whatever you need to know about how we work.
