About Us
We are 9 High View Road, a small residential care home in Croydon. We support adults living with mental health conditions, including younger adults, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Respite stays are available.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement, and we are not going to write around it. We have looked closely at what the inspection found, changed how we plan and record support, and strengthened the training and supervision of our staff. We are being held to account for the progress we make, and we talk about it openly with the people who live here, their families and those who commission their care.
What we are trying to protect while we do that work is the ordinary business of living here. This is a home and small enough for us to know people properly. A predictable day, a decent meal, a proper night's sleep, medication that is right and taken, and somebody who notices how you are doing make a great deal of difference. Where somebody is rebuilding after a difficult period, we try to be steady and unjudgemental rather than watchful.
If you are considering us, please visit and ask about the rating directly.
