About Roscarrack House
Roscarrack House is a residential care home in Falmouth for older people. We are part of the town rather than set apart from it, which means family and friends can call in easily and people who have lived locally still feel they are somewhere they recognise. What we offer is straightforward: warm rooms, meals cooked on the premises, help with washing and dressing given discreetly, and staff who have time to sit down and talk. Before somebody moves in we ask about the small preferences that often get lost in a move, from what time a person likes to get up to how they take their tea, and we write them down so nobody has to keep explaining themselves. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather say that plainly than leave you to find it elsewhere. We have accepted the findings, we are working through the areas that were raised, and we are happy to explain in detail what has changed since. Short respite stays are available, whether to give a carer at home a rest or to help somebody regain confidence after a spell in hospital. If you are considering us for yourself or a relative, please come and see the house on an ordinary day, ask us the difficult questions, and judge us on the answers.
