About Us
Hillcrest Residential Care Home is in Frodsham in Cheshire. We care for older people, including those living with dementia, and we welcome respite guests as well as people moving in for the longer term.
We are not a large place and we do not want to be. Being small means people are known properly rather than in outline, that staff notice when somebody is not themselves, and that the day can be arranged around the people living here rather than the other way about. Getting up when you like, eating what you want, having your own things around you and seeing visitors whenever they call are ordinary parts of life and we treat them as such.
Staff help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and moving about, and they do it without making a fuss of it. For people living with dementia we keep things familiar and unhurried, and we ask families to tell us about a person's life in some detail, because knowing somebody's history is nearly always what helps us understand what they need in the moment.
Respite stays matter to us too. Caring for a relative at home is demanding work and a planned break is often what makes it possible to keep going.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Do come and look round, meet the team and speak to relatives of people who live here.
