About Angelina Care
Angelina Care is a residential care home in Bromley, and we support older people who need help with daily living, including those living with mental ill health. Respite stays are available as well. Most of what makes a care home good is ordinary detail rather than anything grand. Knowing which chair is somebody's. Getting the tea right. Not hurrying a person through a wash because the morning is busy. We help with personal care, dressing, medication and mobility, doing it quietly and leaving as much privacy and choice with the resident as we can. Where somebody can still manage a task themselves, that is theirs to keep. For residents living with mental ill health, what we offer most is steadiness: a team who come to know them well, a shape to the week that holds, and a household that does not come apart when somebody has a difficult stretch. We work alongside community mental health teams, GPs and social workers, and we keep asking when somebody needs something that is slow to arrive. The first fortnight after a move matters enormously and we give it real thought. Before somebody arrives we want to know what time they wake, how they take their tea and who they want to be able to ring. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Come and see us on an ordinary afternoon and ask us anything you like.
