About Us
Burlington Mews Care Home is a residential care home in Brighton, supporting older people and younger adults who need care and company close at hand. Being in Brighton suits us. There is plenty going on, the seafront is not far, and we make a point of keeping residents connected to the city rather than tucked away from it.
We support residents living with dementia, people with a physical disability, and people living with sight or hearing loss. Practically, that means we adapt: clearer signage and steadier routines for those who need them, good lighting, patience with conversation, and equipment and help with mobility where it makes life easier. The aim is always to remove the obstacle rather than to limit what somebody does.
Residents decide how their days run. Some want company, activities and outings, others want quiet, their own room and their own television, and both are perfectly reasonable ways to live here. Family and friends are welcome without ceremony.
Respite stays are available for people who need care for a shorter period.
We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, so we would rather you came and formed your own view. Visit at an ordinary hour, talk to residents and staff, and ask us the awkward questions as well as the easy ones.
