About Greenhill
Greenhill is a residential care home in Keighley. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with mental ill health, and we offer respite stays alongside longer term places. A good many of the people who come to us have had a hard run of it, whether through illness, a hospital admission or a period when living alone simply stopped working. Our job is to offer a settled, unhurried place where somebody can get their feet back under them. That means routine where routine helps, flexibility where it does not, and staff who are comfortable with the fact that recovery is rarely a straight line. People here choose how their day runs. Some want company and something to do from morning onwards, others prefer their own room and their own company, and nobody is pushed. We support people with medication, with appointments, with keeping in touch with family and with the practical business of managing money and paperwork. Where somebody works with a community mental health team we work alongside them rather than around them. We also take respite guests, which can be a sensible way for somebody to try the place out, or a way for a family carer to get a proper break without worrying. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking at options in Keighley, come and see us, meet the team and talk to the people who live here.
