About Us
The Pines is a residential care home in Bournemouth supporting a broad mix of adults. Some of the people who live here are older. Others are younger adults, people with a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions or people with physical disabilities. We also offer respite stays.
A home with that sort of range only works if the support is genuinely built around each person, and that is how we plan it. Two people with the same label can want entirely different things from a week, so we ask rather than assume, and we review arrangements as people change.
We take independence seriously rather than simply mentioning it. Where somebody can do a thing with a little help, that is better than having it done for them, even when it takes three times as long. For autistic people, we treat the environment as part of the care rather than the backdrop. Where somebody lives with a mental health condition, we work alongside community teams so that support stays consistent and a hard stretch is met with patience.
Respite stays give a family carer a planned break with proper support in place.
If you would like to visit and see how the home works on an ordinary day, please get in touch and we will arrange it.
