About Us
Here at Portelet Manor Rest Home, we provide residential care for older people in a warm and welcoming environment in the heart of Bournemouth. We are proud to have received a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine commitment our whole team brings to the people who live with us each day.
We support residents with a range of needs, including dementia care, mental health support and residential care for older people. We also offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether to recover after a period of illness or to give family carers a much needed break. Whatever brings someone through our doors, we aim to make sure they feel at home from the very first day.
We understand that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that trust lightly. Our approach is rooted in getting to know each person properly, understanding their history, their preferences and what matters most to them in everyday life. Care plans are built around the individual rather than a one size fits all routine, and we review them regularly to make sure they continue to reflect each resident's changing needs and wishes.
Family involvement matters to us enormously. We encourage relatives to stay connected, to visit, to share meals and to be part of their loved one's life here. We see ourselves as an extension of that support network rather than a replacement for it.
If you are considering Portelet Manor Rest Home for yourself or someone close to you, we would love to welcome you for a visit and show you around. Please do get in touch and we will do our best to answer any questions you may have.
