About Dunblane House

Dunblane House is a residential care home in Blackpool. We support adults living with mental health conditions, including younger adults who are building the skills and the confidence to manage more independently in time. Living here is meant to feel settled and predictable, because for most of the people we support that steadiness is the thing that has been missing. Everyone has their own room and their own routine, and the staff team is around at all hours to help with practical matters, to prompt and support with medication, and to talk when talking helps. We work closely with the mental health professionals involved in each person's care so that everyone is pulling in the same direction. We put a lot of weight on ordinary things. Cooking, shopping, looking after your own room, managing money, keeping appointments and getting out into Blackpool are all part of what we do together rather than for people. Progress is not always a straight line and we do not treat a difficult week as a failure. Respite stays are available as well, which can give a family carer a break or offer somebody a safe place to regroup for a short period. If you are looking for a place for yourself or for someone you support, please get in touch and come and see us.
