About Us

Here at Watery Lane Cottage, we offer residential care for adults in the heart of Bath, within Bath and North East Somerset. We are proud to be a place where people feel genuinely at home, supported by a team that takes the time to understand each individual and what matters most to them.

We support a wide range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We also welcome younger adults and offer respite care for those who need short term support. Whatever brings someone to us, our approach remains the same: we get to know the whole person, not just their care needs.

Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, which reflects the effort and thoughtfulness that everyone here brings to their work each day. We do not take that lightly, and we continue to look at how we can improve and grow as a home.

Life at Watery Lane Cottage is shaped around the people who live here. We work closely with residents, their families, and other professionals to make sure care plans are personal, up to date, and genuinely reflective of each person's wishes and preferences. We believe that good care means supporting independence, dignity, and the freedom to live life in a way that feels right for each individual.

Being based in Bath means we have a wonderful city on our doorstep, with all its culture, green spaces, and community life. We make the most of that wherever we can, encouraging residents to stay connected to the things and people they love.
