About Us

Manor Farm is a residential home in Bath, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions and people with physical disabilities. We also take respite bookings for short stays.

Our approach to residential care is not complicated. People come here because managing alone has stopped being realistic, not because they have stopped having opinions about how they want to live. So we get to know each person properly, and we build the day around what they actually want rather than around a fixed routine that suits the building.

For people living with dementia we keep the environment calm and familiar and take our cue from the person in front of us. For those with mental health needs we work closely with community teams and treat difficult periods as part of the picture rather than as a crisis to be managed away. Families are welcome without formality, and we would rather they came often.

We want to be straightforward about our position. The most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We have gone through the findings carefully and the work to put them right is under way. Please ask us about it directly if you are considering the home for a relative, and we will give you a plain answer rather than a polished one.
