About Two Rivers

Two Rivers is a residential care home in Barnet, north London. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and people living with mental health conditions. Supporting such a mixed group under one roof is something we plan for rather than something that simply happens. A younger adult working towards more independence and an older resident living with dementia want very different things from a week, and support here is built around the individual rather than around a single house routine. What we provide is residential care. Staff are on duty through the night as well as the day to help with personal care, dressing, medication and meals, while doctors and district nurses come in for clinical needs. For most people that combination works well and leaves their independence largely intact. For residents living with dementia we keep the day in a familiar order, keep the staff group as steady as we can and take time to learn about the person's earlier life. For autistic residents we pay attention to predictable routine, clear information and honest notice before anything changes. London is on the doorstep and we use it. Respite stays are available. Please ring us if you would like to look round Two Rivers.
