About Trinity House

We are a residential care home in Barnet, north London, supporting adults living with mental health conditions. We also offer respite stays where somebody needs support for a period rather than a permanent move. A home like ours works best when it is steady. People who have had a difficult time need somewhere the days are predictable, where staff are calm and where nobody is startled by a bad week. Alongside that steadiness, we try not to do things for people that they can do for themselves. Cooking, laundry, managing money, keeping appointments, getting out and seeing people. These are the things that make a life, and losing them to well meaning help is not a good outcome. We take time to understand what somebody's life has been like, what helps when things get hard, what makes them worse and what the person themselves wants to be different. We involve them in their own plan, along with the professionals already working with them, and we expect that plan to change, because recovery is rarely a straight line. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are a family member, or a professional looking for a placement, we are glad to talk in detail about whether this would be the right setting for a particular person. We would rather be honest at the start than take on something we cannot do properly. Please get in touch.
