About Us
Astley Hall is a nursing home in Stourport on Severn supporting older people who need nursing care, people living with dementia, adults living with mental health needs, people with a physical disability and those with a visual or hearing impairment. We support younger adults as well as older residents, and we offer respite stays.
With registered nurses on site, health needs are met here rather than becoming a reason to move someone. Medication, wounds, continence, long term conditions and end of life care are all looked after in the home by staff who know the resident.
Good nursing care depends on knowing people properly. Somebody who cannot easily say that something hurts will show it another way, and it is the staff who know their usual manner who notice. We keep teams as consistent as we can for that reason, and we treat time spent with residents as part of the job.
For residents with a sensory impairment or a physical disability we adapt how we communicate and how the building works for them, since practical detail decides how much of a day belongs to the person. For those living with mental health needs we watch for early changes and work with community teams.
Respite stays are available, including recovery periods after hospital.
