About Cavendish Lodge

Cavendish Lodge is a nursing home in Leamington Spa. We care for adults who need qualified nursing on the premises, including people living with mental health conditions, and we also offer respite stays. Where somebody's mental health needs sit alongside their physical ones, care has to hold both together rather than treating one and managing the other. We work closely with community mental health teams and GPs, we ask people what has helped them in the past, and we pay attention to the early signs that somebody is struggling so that support can be adjusted before things reach a crisis. Having nurses here at all hours means changing health, complicated medication and skin and wound care can be handled here, and that when a person starts to become unwell we usually notice early. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather say that plainly than have anyone find it out later. We have gone through what the inspection identified, in particular how we plan, record and review care and how consistently our staff are supported to work, and we are happy to talk the detail through with anyone considering us. Relatives are welcome and we encourage them to visit and to raise anything with us directly. If you are looking at nursing care in Warwickshire, please contact us and arrange to come and see the home.
