About Us
Mockley Manor is a nursing home at Henley In Arden, Warwickshire. We support older people and younger adults whose needs include nursing care, including many living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. We also offer respite stays.
Having nursing expertise here means changes in somebody's health are spotted and dealt with early, and it means they can stay with us as things progress.
A setting with nurses in it can start to feel clinical, and we push against that. The point is that people live here, so ordinary comforts come before routine.
For residents living with dementia we protect routine, keep surroundings familiar, and ask relatives for the details that let us understand what somebody means.
We would rather have enough staff on a shift than a full occupancy list. Thin staffing shows up immediately in how long people wait.
Continence is handled with care and without embarrassment, and we would rather look at the cause than reach for a pad.
Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Our aim is that somebody's family stops worrying, which is a harder thing to measure.
