About Heritage Care Centre

Heritage Care Centre is a nursing home in Wandsworth, and we care for older people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with daily living. Having nurses on site around the clock means we can look after people with complex health needs, including those who are frail, those recovering from illness or surgery and those approaching the end of life, without asking them to move elsewhere when their needs change. A good many of our residents are living with dementia. What helps most, we find, is calm surroundings, a predictable rhythm to the day and staff who know a person's history well enough to understand what they are trying to say when the words are hard to find. We ask families to share photographs, stories and habits, because those details do real work for us. We also offer respite stays, which can give a family carer a proper break or provide nursing support for a few weeks after a hospital discharge before someone returns home. Being in south London, we are easy for families to reach, and visiting is flexible. We would much rather people called in when it suited them than kept to set hours. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. You are welcome to arrange a visit and see how the home feels in person.
