About Timperley Care Home

Timperley Care Home in Altrincham provides nursing care for older people and for younger adults, including people living with dementia. We also offer respite stays for those who need nursing care for a shorter period, whether after a hospital admission or to give a family carer a proper break. With registered nurses on duty, we can look after people whose health needs are complex or likely to change, without them being moved on when their condition progresses. We manage medication, wounds, continence, nutrition and pain, we keep a close watch for early signs that somebody is becoming unwell, and we work in step with GPs, community teams and hospital colleagues. That said, a nursing home is still first of all a home. Our residents keep their own routines as far as their health allows, they have their own belongings around them, and staff take the time to learn about the life somebody led before they came here. That knowledge is what turns a task into a conversation. For residents living with dementia we keep surroundings calm and familiar and pair staff with people consistently, which prevents a great deal of distress before it starts. We keep families properly informed rather than ringing only when something has gone wrong, and we involve them in decisions as a relative's health changes. Visitors are welcome at any reasonable time. If you are looking for nursing care in Altrincham or the surrounding area, please arrange to come and see us.
