About Us
Wellington Hall Care Centre is a nursing home in Telford. We support people whose needs go beyond what residential care can offer, with qualified nurses on hand and a team who know that clinical care only counts for something when it arrives with warmth.
Most of the people living with us are older adults, many managing several long term conditions at once. We also support younger adults, people with a physical disability, and people with a learning disability or autism, and we plan each person's care around what they can do as much as what they need help with.
Dementia care is a significant part of our work. We keep the day steady and unhurried, learn each person's history so that conversation has something to hold on to, and try to respond to distress by understanding what sits behind it. Familiar staff matter here more than almost anything else, so continuity is something we protect.
We work closely with GPs, district nurses, therapists and hospital teams, and we would rather raise a concern early than wait and see. Families are kept informed, and we encourage them to tell us when something does not look right.
We also offer respite and short stays, including recovery after a hospital admission.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are weighing up nursing care for someone, we are happy to talk it through without any pressure.
