About Cedrus House
Cedrus House is a nursing home in Stowmarket, Suffolk. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside everyday support, including residents living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions and people with a physical disability. Respite stays are available too. Registered nurses are on site around the clock, so medication, wound and pressure care and changing health needs are managed here rather than becoming the reason for another move at the point when somebody is least able to cope with one. With that range of people living here, the way we work has to be genuinely individual. We learn how each person wants their day to run, how they communicate, what they can still do for themselves and where they actually want help. Beyond the nursing, we want residents to get up at their own hour, eat something they actually want and have their own things around them. For people living with dementia we keep the routine steady and the staffing familiar. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
