About Lakeview Care Home
We are Lakeview Care Home, a nursing home in Walsall. We support older people, adults living with dementia, people whose mental health needs ongoing care, and younger adults who need qualified nursing available at any hour. Registered nurses are on duty here throughout the day and night, so we can care for residents with complex or changing health needs and work closely with GPs, district nurses and mental health teams when specialist input is required. For people whose mental health is part of why they came to us, we try to keep life structured but not rigid, and we take the view that a settled routine, familiar staff and somewhere quiet to go are often worth more than any single intervention. Residents here decide how their own day runs as far as they are able: when to get up, where to eat, whether they want company or their own room. We keep families informed and we expect to be asked questions. The Care Quality Commission rated us Good at our most recent inspection. We check our own standards in between, because an inspection every few years is not what keeps a home safe. If you are considering a move for yourself or someone close to you, please arrange to come and look round. We would rather you saw the home on an ordinary day and formed your own view.
