About Us
Aston Court Care Home provides nursing care in Sutton Coldfield for older people, and for younger adults whose health needs are best met in a home like ours. Qualified nurses are here at all hours, which means medication, wound care and conditions that need close monitoring are managed properly, and somebody who becomes unwell overnight is seen straight away.
Many of the people living here are living with dementia. We plan the day so that it is calm and unhurried, we keep familiar staff working with the same residents and we take time to understand what somebody means when speech has become hard. If a person wants to walk about, we make that safe rather than asking them to sit down.
For residents with a physical disability we have the right equipment and staff trained to help with moving and positioning comfortably. Good nursing, though, is only half the job. People should still choose when to get up, what to eat, where to sit and who visits, and we work at keeping those choices real.
We offer respite stays, both for people needing nursing support for a short period, often after a hospital admission, and for family carers who need a proper break.
Families are welcome here and we would always rather hear a worry early. Ring us if you would like to come in, meet the nurses and look round.
