About Us
Mountdale Nursing Home is in Leigh On Sea, Southend on Sea, caring for people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with daily living. We care for older people and younger adults, residents living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, those with a physical disability, people living with an eating disorder, and adults working through problems with alcohol or drugs. Respite stays are available for shorter periods.
Having nurses here means health needs can be met as they change, so people are not moved on at the point when familiar faces matter most. We manage long term conditions, provide wound and continence care, and offer end of life care with dignity and as little upheaval as possible.
We support a wide range of people, so we plan around individuals rather than categories, and we do not judge anyone for the difficulties that brought them to us. Residents decide when to get up, where to spend their time and what they eat. Meals are cooked on the premises and preferences are remembered.
Our dementia care rests on knowing each person's history and habits so that reassurance feels familiar. We work closely with community health teams and specialist professionals, and we keep families properly informed.
The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us good overall. Please contact us if you would like to visit.
