About Us
Here at Chichester Court Care Home, we provide nursing and personal care for older adults in the heart of South Shields, South Tyneside. We are proud to have received a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our whole team puts in each and every day.
We support people living with dementia, those with physical disabilities, and individuals who require skilled nursing care. We also offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether that is to allow a family carer some rest or to support recovery after a period of illness. Whatever brings someone to us, we do our best to make sure they feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Dementia care sits close to our hearts here. We understand how important it is to maintain familiar routines and a calm, reassuring environment, and we work closely with residents and their families to understand the small details that make a big difference to someone's daily life.
Our nursing team works alongside care staff to make sure that clinical needs are met without the home ever feeling clinical. We want Chichester Court to feel like a proper home, somewhere with warmth, laughter, and genuine connection between the people who live and work here.
Families are always welcome, and we encourage people to stay involved in their loved one's care. Open conversations and honest communication matter to us, and we are always happy to answer questions or talk things through.
If you are considering care for yourself or someone you love, we would warmly encourage you to come and visit us and see the home for yourself. We are based in South Shields and are always happy to chat about how we might be able to help.
