About Care Village
Frome Care Village is a nursing home in Frome. We care for older people and younger adults with nursing needs, including people living with dementia and people managing mental health conditions, and we offer respite and short stays. Qualified nurses are on duty at all hours, so health needs are met here rather than through repeated journeys to hospital. That covers complex medication, wound and continence care, long standing health conditions and care at the end of life. It also means someone notices early when a resident is not themselves. Alongside that, our residents are living their lives, and we think that is what we should be judged on. Good food, time for a proper conversation, gardens to sit in, music, familiar routines and visitors welcome whenever they arrive. Our staff are expected to sit down with people, not just to complete tasks around them. For residents living with dementia we keep the day predictable and unhurried and we learn what settles a particular person. Where someone has a mental health condition we work alongside their community team so that support here matches what they have been used to. Frome and the surrounding villages are where most of our residents come from, and we help people keep up the connections that matter to them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and see us and talk to the people who live here.
