About Us

Ash Lodge is a care home with nursing in Smethwick. We care for older people who need qualified nursing alongside help with daily living, for people living with mental health conditions, for people whose physical disability requires skilled support and for people whose sight or hearing is impaired. We also care for some younger adults.

Nurses on duty around the clock let us manage wound and pressure care, continence and catheter needs, diabetes, pain relief and end of life care, working alongside GPs and district nursing teams.

We want to be open about where we stand. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are working through the points raised, with attention to record keeping, staff supervision and the consistency of care planning, and we would rather set that out ourselves and answer your questions than have you find it elsewhere. Families are part of that work because they can tell whether things have genuinely changed.

Respite stays are available alongside permanent places.

Families across Sandwell are welcome to visit and ask us anything.
