About Us
Here at Aslockton Hall Nursing & Residential Home, we provide nursing and residential care for older adults in a warm and welcoming setting in Nottinghamshire. Our focus is on getting to know each person who comes through our doors, understanding what matters to them and making sure their days feel meaningful and comfortable.
We support people with a range of needs, including nursing care, physical disability and respite care. Whether someone is joining us for a short stay to recover or rest, or making Aslockton Hall their long term home, we aim to offer the same level of attentive, respectful support. We know that moving into a care home is a significant step, and we do not take lightly the trust that residents and their families place in us.
Our team works hard to create an environment where people feel genuinely at home rather than simply looked after. We take time to understand individual routines, preferences and histories, because good care is personal. Family involvement is something we actively encourage, and we want relatives to feel informed and welcome at any time.
We are pleased to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the consistent effort our staff put in day to day. We do not rest on that, though. We continue to listen to residents and families and look for ways to improve.
Aslockton Hall sits in Nottingham, well connected to the surrounding communities and countryside that many of our residents have called home for much of their lives. That sense of local familiarity matters to us.
If you are considering care for yourself or a loved one and would like to find out more, we would be very happy to have a conversation or arrange a visit.

More about the care at Aslockton Hall Nursing & Residential Home
What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.
Older Person Care
Meaningful days matter as much as safe ones, and the home's own text puts weight on both. Aslockton Hall Nursing & Residential Home is registered for older person care alongside nursing. The small details of routine are what residents notice, so those are worth asking about specifically. Ask whether people choose when to rise and eat, and how personal care is kept dignified. Ask how many staff and nurses are on duty overnight and how quickly bells are answered. Nottinghamshire County Council usually pays around £820 to £1000 a week, so ask how any gap to the fee is bridged.
Physical Disability
Safe moving and handling depends on equipment being in the right place before it is needed. Physical disability is named in the registration at Aslockton Hall Nursing & Residential Home. Hoists, profiling beds and pressure cushions preserve both comfort and dignity. Ask what the home holds, who assesses for it, and how transfers are staffed at night.
Respite Care
Short stays are described by the home as serving both recovery and rest, which covers most reasons families ask. Respite care is part of the registration at Aslockton Hall Nursing & Residential Home. Send medication in its original packaging, a summary of routines and any nursing instructions. Ask the minimum stay, the weekly rate and how much notice an urgent booking needs.

Nurses on site change what a home can manage safely, from wounds and catheters to medication that needs adjusting day by day. Aslockton Hall Nursing & Residential Home in Nottingham holds a nursing registration alongside residential care. Nursing fees across the East Midlands commonly run from £1050 to £1350 a week. Inspectors rated the home good when they visited in July 2023. Ask whether Funded Nursing Care has been assessed and what the weekly figure becomes afterwards.
