About Edwin House
Edwin House is a nursing home in Nottingham. Because we have nurses on duty, we can care for people whose health needs go beyond what a residential home can safely manage, and we can often continue caring for someone when their condition changes rather than asking them to move again. We look after older people who need nursing care, and we also support adults living with mental ill health, including younger adults, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug use. That is a broad mix, and it works because we plan carefully with each person and with the health professionals involved, and because we are honest about what we can and cannot do well. We also offer respite stays for people who need nursing care for a limited period. Clinically, we pay close attention to the things that make the biggest difference: medication, skin care, nutrition, pain, mobility and picking up early on a change in someone's condition. Around that, we try to keep the home feeling like a home, with food people want to eat, company if they want it and quiet if they do not. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking into nursing care in Nottingham, please get in touch and come and look around.
