About Us
Malsis Hall is a nursing home in Keighley, North Yorkshire, providing mental health care with nursing for adults. We support older people and younger adults whose mental health needs require qualified nursing alongside everyday care, and we also offer respite stays for people who need support for a shorter period.
Having nurses in the team means we can look after people whose needs are complex or changing without them having to move on again. We work closely with psychiatrists, community mental health colleagues and other professionals, and we would far rather notice a change in someone early than wait for it to become a crisis. Medication is managed carefully and reviewed properly.
Nursing is only part of life here, and we try never to let it become the whole of a resident's day. We ask people about their history, their work, their family, their faith and their food, and we build the shape of the day around those answers. Recovery and independence look different for every person, so we support each one at their own pace rather than pushing a standard programme.
We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are regulated by them and are building the care planning, records and oversight that a good inspection outcome requires. Anyone considering Malsis Hall is welcome to visit and ask us direct questions.
