About Us
Barrow Hall Care Centre sits in Barrow Upon Humber, and we provide nursing care for people across North Lincolnshire. Registered nurses are here at every hour of the day and night, which means residents whose health needs are complex or changeable can be looked after properly without repeated trips elsewhere.
A good deal of our work is with people living with dementia, and we have learned to pay close attention to the things that make a day go well. A familiar chair, a walk at the right time, music someone actually likes: these are not extras, they are the care. We also support residents living with mental ill health, and younger adults whose nursing needs mean that a standard residential home would not suit them.
We support people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug use as well. That work asks for a particular kind of steadiness from a team, without judgement and without giving up on anybody, and we are glad to do it.
Respite stays are available for people who need nursing care for a short period, whether after a hospital admission or to give a family carer a proper rest.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and we keep working at the things residents and relatives tell us could be better. Please come and look round, meet the team and ask whatever you need to ask.
